This Privacy Policy explains how Love to be... ("we", "us", "our") handles your personal data when you use our website, register your interest for an event, or sign up for updates. We collect only what we need, and we are transparent about the tools we use. This policy applies under UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).

1. Who is responsible for your data

Love to be... is the trading name we use for our house music events, record label and related communications.

2. The data we collect

Information you give us when you register or sign up:

- Your name (where requested)

- Your email address

- Your mobile number (if you want SMS or WhatsApp updates)

- Your marketing consent (the checkbox you tick before signup)

 

We record the date you gave consent so we can demonstrate it if asked. We do not ask for, and do not intentionally collect, special category (sensitive) personal data.

 

Information collected automatically when you visit our website or registration page:

- Your IP address and approximate (country/region) location

- Device and browser information

- Pages viewed and interactions, via cookies and similar technologies (see section 5)

 

3. How and why we use your data (legal bases)

- To register your interest and contact you about Love to be... events, including ticket onsale times, line-up news and practical information: performance of a request you made and our legitimate interests in managing registrations (UK GDPR Art. 6(1)(b) and (f)).

- To send you marketing emails, SMS and WhatsApp messages about Love to be... events, tickets, music and related news: only on the basis of your consent (UK GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)). You must tick the consent box to sign up. You can withdraw consent at any time.

- To measure and improve our website and registration pages, and to run and measure advertising: analytics and marketing cookies/pixels are used on the basis of consent where required (UK GDPR Art. 6(1)(a), read with the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations).

 

4. The tools and partners we use

We share only the data needed for each service with the following processors, under appropriate data processing terms:

- evnt.ad: our registration platform. Receives your name, email, phone and consent in order to record your registration.

- Brevo: email and SMS delivery. Stores your contact details and consent so we can send the updates you opted into.

- WhatsApp (Meta Platforms, Inc.): used to send you event updates and to invite you into our event community where you consented. Meta may receive a hashed (pseudonymised) version of your email/phone and technical identifiers.

- Meta Platforms, Inc. (USA): the Meta (Facebook) Pixel and, where configured, Conversions API for advertising and conversion measurement.

- Our hosting provider: hosts the website and registration pages. Like most hosts, it may temporarily record standard connection logs (which can include IP address) for security and reliability.

 

We never sell your personal data.

 

5. Cookies and similar technologies

Strictly necessary cookies keep the site working and remember essential choices. Marketing and advertising technologies (including the Meta Pixel) may be used on our registration pages to measure advertising performance and conversions.

 

You can stop marketing messages using the unsubscribe link in any email, by replying STOP to an SMS, or by leaving the WhatsApp community / messaging us to opt out.

 

6. International data transfers

Some of our providers process data in the United States (including Meta and, depending on configuration, our registration and email tools). Where personal data is transferred outside the UK, appropriate safeguards apply (such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, Standard Contractual Clauses and/or the UK–US data bridge).

 

7. How long we keep your data

- Registration details (your name, email, phone number and communication preferences): kept while you remain subscribed to hear from us about Love to be..., and in any case for no longer than 24 months after your last interaction with us (for example your last email open, registration update or reply). After that, or sooner if you ask us to delete your data or withdraw consent, we remove or anonymise it.

- Analytics and advertising data: retained according to each provider's settings, typically for shorter periods.

- Server logs: kept for a limited period for security and troubleshooting, then deleted automatically.

 

When you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your data, we remove you from our active mailing lists and ask our processors to delete or anonymise your record within a reasonable period, subject to any legal obligation to retain minimal records of consent.

 

8. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

- access the personal data we hold about you;

- have inaccurate data corrected;

- have your data erased ("right to be forgotten");

- restrict or object to our processing;

- data portability (where applicable);

- withdraw consent at any time (this does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal).

9. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (HTTPS) when you submit a signup form.

 

10. Age restriction

Love to be... events are 18+. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has signed up, please contact us and we will delete the data.

 

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above reflects the latest version. Material changes will be posted on this page.
